Practice Philosophy

We know that early prevention of dental problems is key to long-term stable dental health and we promise to work with you and help you to understand what is required on your part to achieve and maintain this aim.

Our main drive is communicating with our patients and involving them in decisions about their teeth and gums. The benefit of this is that it encourages a mutual motivation towards achieving and maintaining a healthy mouth.

We strongly believe in keeping up to date with the latest improvements in dentistry and are always looking to enhance the dental care for all our patients. To further this belief, the whole dental team regularly attends postgraduate courses.

History of the practice

Kelvin House Dental Practice has been providing dentistry to the residents of Whitstable and the
surrounding areas for over 40 years, helping them to achieve and maintain lifelong dental health.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly family practice.

What we require from our patients

We understand that dentistry creates different feelings in us all, our goal is to understand your needs and wishes and to provide care in an empathic way.

 

  • Please try to be on time for appointments and if you do need to cancel, please phone and give at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • Please try to maintain your dental health by practicing good home-care and by attending regular examinations and hygienist appointments at the interval advised by your dentist.
  • Let us know if you are not happy so that we are able to respond to your needs.
  • Please recommend us to your friends and family, if you are happy with our care.

We are members of both the Denplan Excel Accreditation Programme and the British Dental Association Good Practice Scheme. The practice is independently assessed every year to ensure that we meet exacting clinical and non-clinical criteria of ‘best practice’. We are also registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The Kelvin House Guarantee

We appreciate the confidence you place in us and the treatments we provide. As such we offer a guarantee on the crowns, onlays, bridges, and veneers we provide against mechanical failure (fracture of metal or porcelain) for a period of 5 years. Please click here to see the full terms.
